Log Processor Operator
Hook Tender
The Hook Tender is the crew team leader. He must stay ahead of crew by preparing for next row change in advance. Selects and notches guy line stumps, and tail holds. With Operator determines tower location & positions on landings and supervises set ups and take downs. The Hook Tender Inspects cables, shackles, choker bells, sky cars, saws, stumps, and crew bus to assure they are in safe operating condition. The Hook Tender is in tune with his team members’ experience level and makes sure they have what they need, and know what they need to know, to work safely and productively. The Hook Tender provides training and shares his knowledge to his team members in a positive compassionate manner. He promotes open communication, to build and maintain a positive & safe working environment. This is a highly responsible, critical position that pays top dollar for the individual who along with polished technical skills & knowledge, has demonstrated leadership abilities. In addition to standard benefits, Hook Tenders receive $1000.00 boot & rain gear allowance annually.
Rigging Slinger / Choker Setter
Select logs to be choked for the next turn, choke logs, and clear out so they can be safely yarded to the landing. Set up and take down tower, run lines for next job, and help with row changes. Inspect and maintain sky car, lines, and choker bells. In addition to company benefit package Rigging Slingers & Choker Setters receive $1000.00 boot allowance annually.
Log Truck Driver
Safely drive to logging side, prepare trailer to be unloaded by loading shovel, hook up trailer. After loaded wrap the load to secure it and safely drive to the mill to be unloaded. Driver must perform pre-trip inspection per DOT regulations, and keep their assigned truck clean, organized and professional in appearance. All repairs and maintenance work is done by our shop truck mechanics. Must have a class A CDL with clean insurable driving record, and pass DOT drug test. We have the Industry leading pay scale for log truck drivers so expect the best performing, and most capable, safety oriented drivers.
LEAD-SUPERVISOR TECHNICAL TRUCK MECHANIC
Manage and lead all aspects of Log and Lowbed truck repairs, CTI Install, E- Road Install and Trailer Repair. This is a supervisor role with pay depending on experience and ability to manage. Heavy Duty Metal Fabricator
Are you a highly skilled heavy-duty metal fabricator-welder? C & C Logging, an industry leader in the Pacific NW, is looking for an experienced, motivated, self-starting metal fabricator/welder to perform repairs of all heavy equipment, attachments, trucks, fire wagons, etc., and fabricate guards, replacement parts, and anything else related to metal. Line boring experience and communication skills are a plus. If you are an experienced metal fabricator-welder, C & C Logging wants you! Get paid what you deserve… depending on experience.
Payroll Accountant
As a member of the office team this position is responsible for ensuring timely payroll processing with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Must have a strong aptitude for maintaining confidentiality and ability to communicate effectively with employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process two payrolls (100+ employees) and (4 employees)
Enroll employees in 401k, Health Savings, Medical Ins. and Life Ins. Accounts Prepare and submit payroll taxes – including quarterly reports
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations
Maintain payroll records, prepare reports and reconcile payroll accounts
Research and resolve discrepancies
Process lowboy daily moves (including invoicing outside vendors)
File monthly and quarterly truck reports and manage annual truck permits Update phone book
Safety record keeping
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience consistent with the responsibilities of the position. AA or BA degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required. Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. Prefer 1+ years of hands-on experience working in a position with accounting responsibilities. Must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills. Experience in the logging industry highly desirable but not required. Demonstrate skills in personal computer applications (Sage Software, Office 365, 10-key, efax and fax).
